How the Solution Works: End-to-End Process

1) Arrival & Pre-Gate Validation

Vehicle identification is initiated as trucks approach the site via RFID tags, ANPR/LPR cameras, QR codes, or driver credentials.

The system validates haulier, driver, vehicle, slot, compliance, and modalities against pre-registered bookings and safety prerequisites.

If requirements are met, the gate barrier lifts automatically; if not, the operator is prompted for manual review.

2) Staging-Area Automation

Approved vehicles are routed to a staging lane using digital signboards/traffic lights and route planning.

The staging logic reduces congestion and coordinates the flow to the weighbridge based on current queue, bay availability, and product line.

3) Inbound Weighing (Gross)

The vehicle enters the weighbridge deck; sensors confirm axle positioning and scale stability.

Unattended (kiosk) or attended operation captures driver ID, vehicle ID, order/consignment, and product.

The system records gross weight, timestamps, and supporting evidence (still images/video, sensor flags).

4) Security & Safety Interlocks

Integrated security services verify that the cabin is secured (door closed), the driver is safe, no personnel are on the deck, and the vehicle is stationary.

CCTV, gantry and robotics (where applicable) provide visual confirmation for exception handling and audit.

How the Solution Works: End-to-End Process

5) Product Loading / Unloading

Vehicles proceed to the assigned loading or tip-off point (silo, stockpile, bay, or bin) according to the multi-product plan.

Optional automation signals to plant equipment (e.g., gates, feeders, conveyors, loaders) ensure the correct product and quantity are processed.

6) Outbound Weighing (Tare)

The vehicle returns to the weighbridge for tare confirmation.

The system validates driver/vehicle/product matching and reconciles transaction data (gross–tare = net).

Any discrepancies (e.g., moisture adjustments, spillage, overload) are flagged for supervisor approval.

7) Ticketing, Compliance & Handover

A digital weigh ticket and/or printed ticket is generated with product, customer, transporter, timestamps, weights, images, and signatures.

Compliance checks (mass limits, safety, documentation) are enforced; non-conformance triggers workflow for investigation or re-weigh.

8) Real-Time Reporting & Analytics

Operations teams access live dashboards for queue status, transaction counts, cycle times, average turnaround, exceptions, and mass balance.

Managers receive shift, daily, and monthly performance reporting with drill-downs by customer, haulier, product, or bay.

9) Enterprise & OT/IT Integration

Transactions sync automatically into ERP/MES/Finance/Logistics systems (e.g., ERPs, SD/MM/PO modules).

Data also flows to warehouse and inventory systems and to security/VMS archives for full traceability.

Open connectors facilitate integration with OT infrastructure (PLC/SCADA), LIMS, and other plant systems.

10) Continuous Improvement & Governance

Built-in audit trail (weighs, operator actions, images, alarms) supports reconciliations and compliance reviews.

KPI reviews drive cycle-time optimisation, throughput gains, and loss minimisation across shifts and sites.
